Integration of the year: WEBEX CALLING AND 2N INTERCOMS
2N® has announced an integration with Cisco’s Webex Calling platform. 2N® is only the second access control manufacturer in the world to officially support integration with Webex Calling.
Webex Calling is a cloud-based phone system ideally suited for mid-sized companies, offering standard business calling, conference calling, and virtual meetings — all within a unified user experience across multiple devices. The shift from on-premises solutions to cloud-based systems is an obvious trend. The demand for integrating intercoms — and access systems in general — with Webex Calling is also clearly growing.
By integrating with 2N® IP intercoms, the system gains premium functionality, becoming a secure and efficient access control solution. Users can receive video calls from door intercoms directly in the Webex Calling client, transfer calls, and remotely unlock doors.
In addition to IP intercoms, 2N® SIP Speaker and 2N® SIP Speaker Horn audio devices also connect to Webex Calling, enabling the platform to be used for audio announcements. Intercoms and IP audio devices can also broadcast evacuation announcements, for example.
2N® SIP Speaker is a rugged loudspeaker that provides a full-featured SIP-based audio system. It requires no additional hardware or software investment, such as a PC with supporting applications. 2N® SIP Speaker is ideal for both live and pre-recorded announcements.

2N® SIP Speaker Horn is an outdoor acoustic system with extremely loud and clear sound. It can be used as a practical tool for broadcasting live announcements over large areas and for active site protection. If an unwanted visitor enters your premises, you can immediately respond with a live or pre-recorded message to quickly deter the intruder.
In the Webex Calling Control Hub administration interface, administrators can monitor and manage all devices connected to the platform in real time, including intercoms and speakers. All communications are highly secure (TLS, SRTP).
