Since 2019, Gigaset has introduced a new product to replace the old N720 IP Pro
with the following key differences:
The Gigaset N870 IP Pro multicell IP-DECT system consists of a single device with multiple functions: DECT Manager / Integrator and Base station. Up to 60 base stations and 250 handsets can be connected to one IP-DECT system, ensuring true employee mobility with seamless voice handover and roaming.
Simultaneous connection of up to 10 N870 base stations is supported, with one of the bases taking on the controller function — DECT Manager. From 11 to 60 base stations, one of the bases will perform only the controller function of the multicell DECT network and cannot act as a base station.
Gigaset Pro products are optimized for use with the N870 multicell IP DECT system. The N870 system integrates smoothly into the corporate IP network.
An intuitive web interface with interactive help, XML-based configuration files, and support for standard protocols simplifies and speeds up configuration, while support for standard protocols makes setup extremely easy and fast. To plan the placement of N870 IP Pro base stations on the customer’s site, the Gigaset SPK - Site Planning Kit is required.
