Modern simultaneous interpretation systems are divided into:
- Wired – mainly installed in concert halls and theaters, where headphone jacks and channel selectors are integrated into the armrests of the seats.
- Wireless – can be radio-frequency or infrared (IR). Radio-frequency systems are used for off-site events, while IR systems guarantee confidentiality and are suitable for international meetings.
Configuration of Simultaneous Interpretation Systems
The standard equipment set includes:
- IR signal transmitter – installed in the hall and transmits the signal to the participants’ receivers.
- Central Control Unit (CCU) – distributes the audio stream across interpretation channels.
- Interpreter console – provides reception of the source language and transmission of the interpretation to the appropriate channel.
- IR signal receiver – receives the audio stream and sends it to the headphones.
- Headphones – used by both interpreters and event participants.

Security
Since infrared radiation does not pass through walls and ceilings, conference integrity can be guaranteed, which is especially important when discussing sensitive issues. In conference centers with multiple rooms, there is no interference between separate conferences or sessions.
If the same language distribution is required in several conference rooms within a building, slave transmitters and radiators are installed in those rooms.
Flexible license expansion up to 32 channels
INTEGRUS supports up to 32 audio channels, including the original language and up to 31 interpretation channels, making it ideal for even the largest international conferences. Only available channels are displayed on the receiver, so users do not waste time scrolling through empty channels in search of the required language. The new cost-effective licensing model allows users to select the exact number of audio channels required according to the number of languages transmitted. The basic transmitter configuration starts with four channels; if necessary, up to 28 additional channels can be unlocked via a software license.
Perfect sound quality
INTEGRUS delivers outstanding sound quality with a signal-to-noise ratio of more than 80 dB, allowing conference participants to listen in real comfort. This means they become less tired and lose less concentration during long conferences. And since INTEGRUS uses infrared technology, the sound output is exactly the same as the input – delegates do not need to physically connect to the system and can move freely during sessions.
Convenient operation and maintenance with a long service life
In addition to the extended IP capabilities of the OMNEO transmitter, the INTEGRUS wireless language distribution system offers the same ease of use, a wide range of features, and simple operation. Pocket receivers independently manage the charging process, ensuring optimal performance and maximum battery lifespan. Charging units can hold up to 56 receivers and fully charge them in 105 minutes. A fully charged battery provides up to 200 hours of operation with alkaline batteries and up to 75 hours with a rechargeable battery pack.
